Mr. and Mrs. Schulte Go to Texas

For five years, the founder of The Profit Constructors, Tonya Schulte, has been among those who attend the annual event known as Scaling New Heights®. This year SNH21 took place in Fort Worth, Texas. So, Tonya commandeered her best friend (otherwise known as her husband, Joe) and set off to what she unabashedly refers to as her summer camp experience.


What Difference Does It Make?

When you think of scaling new heights, what comes to mind? Mt Everest, personal development, the stages of building your construction business?

Once again, this year, Tonya was a part of the teaching team. She presented two sessions and participated in two panels designed to train fellow attendees. Tonya taught about how to bring construction clients to the cloud and what to do when building a construction app eco-sphere. The panels she served on dealt with managing remote teams and teaching attendees how to leave the conference with concrete, actionable goals to build their practices.


The Five Attendance Goals

Following her own advice, Tonya had attendance goals while at SNH21. They were:

  1. Meet new colleagues and link up with long-term friends

  2. Learn about better ways of serving our clients

  3. Teach accounting pros methods of providing more for construction business clients

  4. Check out the apps and services to better aid construction clients

  5. Have fun at the after-hours events

Every year she attends SNH, Tonya scopes out the vendors who serve accounting pros. What’s new, what’s coming next, what can be expected? This year for the first time, Tonya provided video chats with many of the vendors and others in attendance. We have it under good authority that her husband was the man behind the camera.
